Let's look at some of the most popular spots for skiing in the Alps of France. The fifth largest ski resorts are the areas of Megeve and Chamonix in the south of France. The Chamonix is one of the first areasbuilt and is still very popular today even though it is rather expensive.

For those looking for slopes suitable for beginners the resort near Megeve at the Combloux is more to their liking. The Les Carroz resort located near Flaine is an ideal skiing holiday destination for families with young children.
